FAQS
HOW MUCH DOES AN APPOINTMENT COST?
At Transition Physio, we have longer appointment times to allow for a thorough approach to assessment and treatment. Your appointment involves uninterrupted physio time 1:1 (no rushing in between cubicles). So our prices are very competitive when you consider the extra time you are getting. Health rebates also apply (Bupa, Medibank, HCF etc.)
Prices:
Initial Physio Appointment (~45mins) $145
Subsequent Physio Appointment (~30mins) $105
Extended Physio Appointment (for more than 1 area/injury ~45mins) $145
*Therapeutic equipment (theraband, tape, etc.) is an additional cost
HOW MUCH WILL THE GAP BE?
For private paying patients, the gap payment varies depending on your private health cover. To find out exactly, it is best to call your health fund and quote the physiotherapy item codes: (T500 for initial assessment, T505 for a standard consultation, T506 for an extended consultation). If you do not have private health insurance you will have to pay the full amount.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT MY APPOINTMENT?
On your first appointment, your physiotherapist will listen to your problem and ask questions to form hypotheses of what is causing your problem. A physical examination will be carried out using various tests to confirm the hypotheses. Then your physio will explain what is going on and how to treat it. They will most likely provide some hands-on treatment and give you some home treatment strategies.
HOW LONG ARE APPOINTMENTS?
Initial appointments are approx 45 minutes, and standard consultations are approx 30minutes.
